According to Omni Air Transport, here are some of the significant differences between a regularly scheduled airline flight and an air charter flight:
- With an airline flight there are long waits, but with charter flights there is immediate boarding.
- On an airline flight, you don't get to fly directly to your destination, but on an air charter, you set the course.
- On an airline flight, there are intrusive pat-downs, but on a charter flight there is a welcome handshake.
- On airline flights, you pay by the passenger. If you bring more people with you, you have to pay extra for each of them. But on a charter flight, you pay by the hour. If you want to bring a whole planeload of friends with you, they won't charge you extra.
