Chapman Freeborn has made this announcement concerning the Muslim holiday of Eid as it affects the united Emirates Airport: "Please note EID has been declared from October 25th to October 29th 2012. During this period UAE airport authorities are working with a skeleton staff and will not be able to expedite any urgent shipments hence we appreciate if you plan in advance. Likewise in Afghanistan, EID will affect trucking for a longer timeframe starting from October 23rd to October 30th. Please consider October 21st as the deadline for any out-base delivery. During this period there will be no truck and military escorts available." Eid is short for Eid-al-Fitr a holiday that marks the end of Ramadan. It is a time to break the fast. If you have any questions about how this holiday will affect your cargo services, please contact Chapman Freeborn at uscargo@chapman-freeborn.com. |
